Installing Akelos: Installing Akelos onto a VPS

    Hi,

    We have developed an application using the akelos framework using MAMP. However, we now wish to move it to our hosting server package which is held on a VPS solution using Plesk.

    Does anyone have any experience of installing Akelos onto a Plesk VPS platform?
    I've searched the Plesk forums without joy and my support email from the hosting provider wasn't very encouraging (See below)

    "Unfortunately, as this is a plesk VPS we cannot install program for you.
    You can have a look on the Plesk forums if there is a way to install it, but if it needs shell access it cannot be done."

    Our VPS hosting is held with Hostway (http://www.hostway.co.uk/virtual/virtual_l_plesk_vps25.asp)

    I have my fingers crossed that this is possible, without me changing hosting packages!
