I maintain my Akelos with Subversion. This "Akelos News" category says that the latest version of Akelos is 0.8. A recent discussion in it said that Kaste's changes got into Subversion revision 468. The one that I just downloaded is 471. I'm not certain which Akelos version that is. Because significant changes to Akelos are taking place and I am actively developing two Akelos applications, I think that I need to be using the latest Akelos releases.

    Questions:

    • How can I be informed of the latest Akelos releases?
    • How can I know that parts of my applications should be revised to work with new Akelos releases?

I'm not certain which Akelos version that is.

Each version has a milestone defined, when it's tickets are completed a new release is announced (like 0.8) with the main changes, so stay tuned here.

How can I be informed of the latest Akelos releases?

There is an rss with framework repository checkins, may help you.

Can I make an inquiry of my installed Akelos to see what milestone version it contains? Perhaps this isn't important.

My first question is answered by the rss option. As long as I install each new one, I won't have to remember which is my latest. Thanks.

To know what parts of my applications need to be revised to work with new Akelos releases, I suppose that I can just test my applications to see what is broken. Some changes will not require that applications be changed. Other changes will. I would prefer to see a list:

    • Files that must be copied from the new release into the application
    • Files in the application that must be revised because of the new release.
